PQ-REACT and NGI Sargasso Join Forces to Boost Quantum Innovation Across Europe and North America
Building on our ongoing collaboration efforts, we are proud to announce our latest partnership with the NGI Sargasso EU project. This collaboration is especially meaningful, as NGI Sargasso already includes three of their NGI Sargasso Innovators directly involved in advancing quantum technologies, a topic closely aligned with its primary aim to promote human-centric Internet ecosystems. By joining forces, the two EU-funded projects aim to amplify and accelerate innovation, advancing the development and security of quantum technologies while supporting the transition to the quantum era in Europe and beyond. This milestone reinforces transatlantic cooperation and underscores our shared commitment to fostering both innovation and security.
NGI Sargasso: Building Bridges Across Continents for the Future of the Internet
NGI Sargasso promotes the developing of a unique collaborative ecosystem to harvest Europe-United States and/or Europe-Canada technology breakthroughs that aim to revolutionize the Next Generation Internet (NGI) technologies, services and standards. It also aim to contribute to the evolution of the Internet according to a human-centric approach of the Internet commons, following to the NGI initiative values of openness, inclusivity and sustainability.
The project has funded +50 projects of NGI Sargasso Innovators with a total budget of €4.8 million in the following topics:
- Trust
- Data sovereignty
- Digital identity
- Internet architecture & renovation
- Decentralized technology
- Interoperability & standardization
- New internet technology
The collaboration between the two projects will bring reciprocal visibility and promote the dissemination of research outcomes through diverse communication channels including project websites, newsletters, and social media enabling both projects to broaden their reach and engage with each other’s audiences more effectively.
Finally, this collaboration goes beyond mutual promotion, it expands the reach and impact of both projects while embodying a comprehensive strategy to shape a secure Internet of the future, one that is more open, resilient, and secure.
